It's the latest thing in romantic relationships – they call it boudoir photography. Perhaps it has something to do with how the movies and the adult industry have made sensual photography somewhat mainstream and acceptable. More and more these days, women are taking to ordering up a set of tastefully done softcore erotica either to keep for themselves for when they become old or to gift to a romantic partner.
How far a woman goes in a boudoir photography session entirely depends on her. Usually though, these tend to be flirty, fun, cute and sexy while staying on the right side of tastefulness.
When you decide that you actually want one of these for yourself, how you go about planning for it?
Well, the first thing you want to do is to make sure that you'll have the body you hope for when the session gets underway. Most women don't really have the kind of body that they hope for. But you don't have to have the kind of body those skinny models have to be glamorous and drop-dead gorgeous. That's just a myth that the fashion industry and the advertisers want to propagate. All you need is to be in reasonable shape.
If you think that those Hollywood stars and models have the kind of body you see in those magazines, think again. They don't have that body either. They just have a skilled photographer and expensive software making them look like that. You can get a good photographer to who knows how lighting and camera angles can highlight your best features while taking attention away from the ones that you're a bit self-conscious about. But basically, whatever level of physical fitness you wish to have show in the pictures, you need to be sure that you give yourself time to get there.
You can really spice up the boudoir photography session but picking a theme and picking clothes that are just right. If it is simple, tasteful fine art semi-nudity – something like Rose poses for in the Titanic, it could be good for all time. Some women like to pick male fantasy themes – things like being dressed up as a nurse or a policewoman in a short skirt or something.
How modest or daring your boudoir photography is, is really entirely up to you. Sometimes, depending on your photographer’s skill, even a little exposed can be a lot. If the photographer seems to charge more than what you can afford, you could probably get a few of your friends together so that all of you can chip in. You should be able to work the price down to a great deal this way.
